Two Gazelles

Hello to all tea lovers! Two Gazelles is a poetic 2D animation project created for the Two Gazelles Tea brand, drawing on the visual heritage and cultural character of Iranian tea. The project combines traditional illustration with contemporary digital animation to create a distinctive visual language that reflects the brand’s identity while giving the film a warm, atmospheric, and nostalgic character. Artafen was responsible for the project’s art direction, illustration, fluid motion design, effects animation, sound design, music composition, and editing. A key part of the visual approach was the use of finely crafted line-art illustrations together with a carefully developed vintage-inspired color palette. These elements were animated to create fluid transitions and movement while preserving the handcrafted quality of the original artwork. The project was developed as a visual proposal for the brand, exploring how traditional illustrative aesthetics could be translated into a contemporary 2D animation format. The result combines illustration, motion design, effects, and sound into a short-form brand film designed to communicate the atmosphere and character of Two Gazelles Tea. The production showcase presents selected stages of the visual development and animation process, including illustrated frames and rendered sequences.
